October 13- Today I am grateful for my surprise find at an op-shop today. An Elna sewing machine. They are small and compact and the perfect travel machine. Mine is circa 1980, and in the past few years these machines have become somewhat collectors items and quite valued. My wonderful mother in law gave it the once over this afternoon and after some love from her it is looking and sounding great. I knew it was a steal for $25 (half price day- it was originally only $50) but when we got home I discovered it's worth $300+! This sewing hobby of mine is zooming along! I even started on something today for Tilly and her friend Leah and decorated a new top for Tilly. Too cute.
Pic- Tilly modeling her new mummy designed top and op shop tutu!

October 12- Today I am grateful for the chance to watch Tilly play with the children of some of my primary school friends! Four of us caught up today and it was lovely to see each other again. We also had dinner with Rich and Vok and their two (adorable) boys tonight. I'm grateful we got to meet Theo, just 3 days Tilly's senior!

October 10- Today I am grateful for the patchwork lesson Lois gave us at mum's group this morning, for the start I've made on my quilt (over half cut) and for no burns after a hot drink was accidentally spilled.

October 9- Today I am grateful that i started to feel well again this afternoon. Day 10 of this virus or whatever it's been!
I'm also grateful for the surprise in the gum tree that overshadows our backyard- 3 tawny frogmouths. Hopefully they'll stay a while.

October 8- Today I am grateful for our mums. Tilly's grandma and her gran came over today for lunch and dinner. They were just what she (and we) needed to distract from the bugs that have been making our home theirs for the past week or so. Hoping that we get more 3.5hr sleep stretches again to sleep it all away!

October 7- Today I am grateful for the lovely time I had today, Tilly free (again!) at Rachel's baby shower. What a spread there was and what an exciting celebration for her soon to arrive little boy. Can't wait to meet him!
Also grateful for daylight savings. We wound the clocks forward last night. It is now 7:51pm and it's still light. Tilly is just going down now... Hopefully for longer than 90min stretches tonight! ;{
