After a glorious day, we closed the weekend with another ending of sorts, our final evening service at church. For a range of reasons, we have decided that it's time for a change and a new beginning for us. We will certainly miss many people from there and the comfort that comes with being part of a place for a long time. Our interim pastor, Gordon, has been talking about finding life giving places and we are looking forward to finding a new one for us as Mr and Mrs, most likely closer to where we have bought our new home.
It was really special having several of those special people there for our final music rehearsal and worshiping together. Em chose some great songs and there were smiles and jokes as always.
We had a delicious dinner at one of our favourite restaurants after with many other very special people, including our small group who took the time to pray for us during the service and present us with a book that we look forward to working through together. We're really glad that we will be continuing to meet with this core group of ours for the time that it takes us to connect into a new church and become part of a new small group there.
Thank you to all of you who came along and have supported us over many years. We know that we'll still keep in touch and that we're all still part of the one family.
