February 4: Today I am grateful for a quiet day in.
This smiley, chuckling girl is worth being grateful for too I think, even if she has been waking up too often!

February 3: Today I am so, so grateful for a healthy and happy little girl. We went to the maternal child health nurse and had Tilly checked and measured for her 4 week check up. I knew that she had been growing, but just how much was quite amazing!
In 2 weeks she has gone from being in the 50th percentile in length and weight to the 85th percentile! I asked if this growth was too quick but the nurse had no concerns, saying that she is growing consistently and in proportion. Maybe she will be tall?!
One more thing... Tilly has been giggling! For the last week or so, every few days, she has been smiling big when coming off from a feed and quietly breathing out a chuckle. I can't wait to catch it on video! Today though she's done it several times and not always after feeding. Sometimes just when looking at someone. She also gave me the biggest smile today when I was holding her. Melt my heart!

February 2: Today I was grateful for the warm afternoon and the energy to go for a walk with Toby and Tilly around the lake. The sun shone beautifully on the leaves and the bushes, leaving a golden hue everywhere. We stopped to look at the ducks and one was very bold, coming up close to us. Tilly was very alert the whole time and took it all in. She loved to watch the blue sky and the white, fluffy clouds. It was stunning!

January 29: Today I am grateful for neighbours who deliver homemade dark chocolate ice cream for our dessert, for a return to better sleep for Tilly and a husband who is willing and able to work and support us. Can't believe it's just Tilly and I tomorrow!

January 28: Today I am grateful for a visit to the shops, solo- not for anything exciting, just to get some photos developed and a few groceries, but I am very blessed to have a husband who is confident, willing and able to care for our child for an hour.
I am also grateful (and a little in denial!) for my current weight. For the first time since it must be childhood, I have a healthy (ideal) BMI. My weight now starts with a 7, and I can not remember a time when that was the case. The challenge will be to keep it off post breastfeeding.
I am grateful that my friend Jules has found her love and that we could celebrate that together today at her kitchen tea... And that Matilda slept through most of it. :)
