Things are not always as the seem

Meet Cino...

He is the dog of our friends parents. They are looking after him for a few weeks while their parents are away. He looks vicious here, yes? He is not. He is in fact asleep... on his back... baring his teeth. Look out, he licks!

Grateful

I've been sleeping all day today and visited the doctor who in a nutshell has diagnosed the flu and ordered plenty if rest.
Although I feel rubbish, I am grateful.
Grateful that I have a warm bed to sleep in. That I have medicine to take and help me along. Grateful that I can afford to visit a great doctor. And grateful for my wonderful Tobes, who is right now washing the dishes after cooking dinner and is making me stay on the couch. I love him. :)

Hydrangeas

My mum's favourite flowers are hydrangeas and they have a soft spot in my heart too. We always had them growing in my family home and I think that I'll have to find a nice shady spot at the new place to grow some of my own.
Anyhoo... why this walk of hydrangeas you ask? Well, I was blog hopping just now and came across these gorgeous cupcakes here.  The bellow images and information about how to make them can be found here. I've been baking a bit more lately- perhaps these will get a run soon?

To my dad...

Happy Father's Day to the best dad around! :)

Thank you for all of the things that you have done for me over the years.
For your words of counsel, your love, care and concern.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for loving Tobes so much too.

We're glad that you and mum are back with us today from your trip.
We hope that you have a great day!

Lots of love, Beck xoxo
