Taking a deep breath

The other day was a challenge.
Tilly was NQR.
Her day and night sleeps were worse than normal (and that's saying something!)
There was extra settling and resettling going on and my back (and head!) were not feeling the best.
It was time for a walk and to meet daddy on the way home from work.

As we strolled along it was hard to not feel a little better.
The sun was shining.
The air was heavy with perfume from freesia and blossom.
There were ducks in the creek.
The breeze was warm.

When we got home I handed Tilly over to Tobes and spent some time in the front yard taking some photos on my phone. There is such beauty in that small space and my blossom tree takes my breath each time I see it! Here's some of my favourites.

September 22- Today I am grateful for sunny days, a picnic and a play in the park.

Time for a picnic

Today the weather in Melbourne was glorious! Spring is well and truly in the air. I had planned a picnic a little further afield, however we ended up going somewhere very local as poor Tobes has a cold.

Tilly seemed to like playing on the quilt and eating her lunch outside. Of course she made her way for the leaves and grass for a munch! We took the opportunity to snap some family photos first.

After lunch we had a little play at the park. This was Tilly's first time. She thought that the swings were the best but she also had a giggle on the horse on springs and the slide with daddy.

We will be spending LOTS of time at his park over the years.

September 21- Today I am grateful that I won a family pass to a zoo in Port Douglas! Very handy for our trip coming up! :) and also won a VIP ticket to a Pinky talk next week. My lucky day!

project gratitude: 0920

September 20- Today I am grateful for more signs if spring today. We saw 2 ducks and their 10 ducklings on our stroll today. Gorgeous! It was amazing to see the way the mother and father duck waited patiently for all 10 ducklings to make their way out of the creek, even when they swam downstream a little to find a point to exit.
I'm also grateful for my neighbours. Tilly and I have been enjoying visiting our elderly neighbour recently. I love seeing the joy Tilly brings to her and it's nice to have a great-grandma figure for her seeing as my grandparents have all passed away.

September 19- Today I am grateful for lights at the end of the tunnel. Today was full on and the very reason I keep this project gratitude going. It's been a rough few days.
But, right now as I feed Tillly in the darkness of her room, as I feel her sleepy weight in my lap and hear her suckling and sleepy breathing, I am grateful for so much. That she went down well tonight for Toby and that I could enjoy a great night with some girls from my small group at church, eating yummy things and sharing both fun and serious things. I'm grateful for the refreshing that came after going for a walk with Tilly this afternoon and taking some photos in the garden. Spring time is beautiful.
